Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Lantern is a slow, atmospheric adventure that trusts you to explore. You wander an empty seaside town at dusk, picking up objects and piecing together why everyone left. There's no combat and no fail state — just observation and small, satisfying puzzles.
The puzzles are grounded in the world rather than tacked on. You fix a broken lamp, follow a trail of notes, coax an old radio back to life. Each solution reveals another slice of the story, and I never felt stuck for the wrong reasons.
It's short — maybe three hours — but it lingers. The hand-drawn art and sparse sound do a lot of heavy lifting. This is a game to play with the lights off.
